But behind the marketing promise there are indirect costs, compromises in quality, and risks that are rarely explained. Decryption.
The No. 1 trap: The package is not really all-inclusive
The packages displayed at €1,800-2,500 theoretically include intervention, hotel and transfers. In practice, many elements remain as paid options: post-operative medications (50-200 €), specific shampoo (30-50 €), food supplements (50-100 €), high-quality before-and-after photos (60-150 €), retouching in case of insufficient results (1,000-3,000 €). The final bill often goes well beyond the price initially displayed.
The trap #2: The production chain
To make their low-cost packages profitable, some Turkish clinics practice 4 to 6 transplants per day, sometimes more. The technical team carries out interventions over 12-14 hours of work. Consequence : less attention per patient, team fatigue at the end of the day, variable graft placement quality, less precise frontal line. The trap #3: The lack of structured follow-up
